Our History

It all began in 1994, when Mr. Jouault, founder of the family-owned agricultural group J.DIS, purchased a production facility for deli and pastry products in Torcé. GELDELIS was founded: a Breton company specializing in quiches and tarts.

Our expertise inspires us to reinvent quiches and tarts by creating innovative recipes in a mini format. That’s how we launched our mini appetizers. At first, these mini treats were filled using a pastry bag. Today, we use portioning machines, but we maintain that artisanal spirit through our hand-finished touches. This product has now become an icon of our company.

We are expanding and renovating our packaging and storage areas. This enables us to meet growing demand while adhering to increasingly high quality standards. This investment has been recognized with two certifications: IFS Food and BRC.

We decided to expand our selection of pies with an original creation: weput a new spin on the famous Tarte Tatin by making a savory version. It was a huge success. We then developed the savory Tarte Tatin into a variety of different recipes: summer vegetables, zucchini and goat cheese, a carrot duo...

Geldelis has become a member of the "Produit en Bretagne" network. This association, founded in 1993, aims to promote the expertise of Breton companies, in part by affixing a logo to their products and services.

With the acquisition of SEADELIS, we are strengthening our culinary expertise and our knowledge of seafood products.

We are investing €7 million to modernize and expand our manufacturing facility. This investment will enable us to scale up our operations so we can respond to our customers’ needs even more quickly, ensuring short lead times and increased production capacity.

Today, Geldelis—blending tradition and modernity—is recognized across all retail channels for offering quiches and tarts that are perfect for any occasion. As a Breton company, we export our products to many countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Japan, and Hong Kong…
